ISH North America 2008 Partners Offer Many New Seminars and Events Relevant to the Industries’ Diverse Interests

ISH North America (ISH NA), through its industry association partnerships, will add a wide range of educational and networking opportunities to the upcoming event this fall.

By partnering with four trade associations to run concurrent events, industry professionals will have the opportunity to increase their contacts, build sales and learn about the latest industry happenings in one location in Atlanta.

The trade show will run concurrently with "Network," the annual convention for the American Supply Association (ASA) and the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors National Association (PHCC), as well as the annual convention for the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), and the Maple Leaf Reception produced by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH).

ISH NA, the international trade show for Plumbing, Commercial/Industrial Pipes, Valves & Fittings, HVAC, and Kitchen & Bath, will be held Oct. 1-3, 2008 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

American Supply Association (ASA)
The American Supply Association is a non-profit national organization serving the Plumbing, Heating, Cooling and Piping (PHCP) and Industrial PVF industries. Since 1969, ASA has provided the forum for PHCP and PVF wholesale distributors and their vendors from around the country to discuss critical issues facing them.

Members of ASA are distributors, manufacturers, service vendors and independent manufacturers’ representatives, who together create a powerful alliance of channel partners. Through corporate membership in ASA, all owners, executives and their employees may benefit from the wide variety of services available.

Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors – National Association (PHCC)
The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association is made up of nearly 4,000 contracting firms that represent men and women from open and union shops who work in residential, commercial, new construction, industrial and service and repair segments of the PHC industry. PHCC members have their own national lobbyist representing them on Capitol Hill and with federal agencies. They also have discounted access to many seminars, national gatherings, learning resources and valuable business services designed to take members' businesses to the next level.

Together, ASA and PHCC will bring their annual conference "Network" to ISH North America 2008. Events will include association committee meetings, director meetings, numerous educational seminars and networking events for association members and ISH participants. From "Kohler Night", the "Bradford White Breakfast" and the "PHCC Awards Luncheon sponsored by InSinkErator," to the keynote program and numerous receptions, the involvement of such events with ISH North America will provide opportunities not available through any other industry event.

Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH)
Founded in 1933, the non-profit Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating is a vibrant organization committed to providing its members with tools for success in today’s competitive environment. CIPH includes over 250 member companies including manufacturers, wholesale distributors, master distributors, manufacturers’ agents and allied companies that manufacture and distribute plumbing, hydronic heating, industrial, waterworks and other mechanical products. CIPH wholesalers operate over 600 warehouses and showrooms across Canada. CIPH members employ over 10,000 Canadians and are an integral part of the Canadian economy.

In addition to bringing some of North America's leading industry professionals and decision makers to ISH North America, CIPH will take this opportunity in 2008 to recognize its own 75th anniversary through a series of special events. In addition, CIPH will hold its annual prestigious Maple Leaf Reception.

International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO)
The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is a non-profit, mutual benefit corporation with its world headquarters in Ontario, California, USA. With members located around the world, IAPMO strives to protect the health and safety of society through sound plumbing and mechanical practices.

IAPMO has served the plumbing and mechanical industry since 1926 through the development and maintenance of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), the most widely adopted codes of their kind. IAPMO offers continuing education to apprentices, journeymen, inspectors and other users and enforcers of these international safety standards. The UPC has been used as the base for the plumbing code in so many nations that it is now believed at least one-half of the world’s population is protected in some manner by its provisions.

IAPMO will be holding their 2008 annual convention in Atlanta during the ISH North America event. IAPMO events include the Technical Committee meeting convention where members have a final opportunity to voice their opinion on the language which will be published in the 2009 UPC and UMC, their annual golf tournament, keynote session, development session for the Solar Energy Code and the Swimming Pool, Spas and Hot Tubs Code, numerous educational tracks and networking events with the ISH North America program.

ISH NA provides a unique experience through the show’s variety and quality of exhibiting companies, their products, their industry partnerships and endorsers, as well as extensive educational opportunities and featured product showcases. Reflective of the trend towards cleaner building and environmentally-conscious construction, the 2008 show will highlight renewable energies.
